Obituary for Billy Frank "Bill" Wilkinson

Billy Frank “Bill” Wilkinson, 76, died unexpectedly while delivering cattle on Thursday, April 25, 2019, in Satanta, Kansas. He was born on November 13, 1942, to Cornelia Mae (Wells) and George William Wilkinson in Graham, Texas. He married Gwendolyn Faye (Owens) on June 19, 1966, in Newcastle, Texas.

Bill enjoyed farming and driving semi trucks with his wife, Gwen. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newcastle, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Gwen of the home; a son, Bill Bradley Wilkinson and wife Deborah of Newcastle, TX, a daughter, Rebecca Gail Kerr and husband Ryan of San Antonio, TX; grandchildren, Ryder Kerr and Rory Kerr of San Antonio, TX, Jimmy Smith and wife Lindsey of Olney, TX; a great grandchild, Ethan Don Smith; and a sister, Connie Wood of Newcastle, TX.

Bill was a strong supporter of education and the students of Newcastle ISD. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating in memory of Bill Wilkinson to the Brandon Bailey Memorial Scholarship Fund or the Sue Story Memorial Scholarship Fund. Donations can be mailed to Newcastle ISD, P.O Box 129, Newcastle, TX 76372.

A Memorial Service will be held 2:00pm Sunday, June 23 at the First Baptist Church in Newcastle, Texas. Cremation was entrusted to Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory of Sublette, Kansas. Condolences may be left online at WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com
