Obituary for Robert Lee Brandl

TRIBUNE - Robert Lee “Bob” Brandl, 71, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born on February 27, 1949 to Fern Elizabeth (Johnson) and Eugene John Brandl at Osmond, Nebraska. He married Connie Jo (Gentry) on November 1, 1969 at Tribune, Kansas.

Bob worked for Wheatland Electric Cooperative for 45 years. When he wasn’t working, he took pleasure in mowing his grass and spending time in his yard. Drinking a cold beer with his buddies at the trench and spending time with his grandkids was his favorite pastime. Another favorite hobby was driving with the windows down in his blue "ding-ding" car. He was an avid supporter of the Greeley County Jackrabbits, attending daily practices of both football and basketball teams. He was a dedicated fan of the Nebraska Huskers and his grandchildren!

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Connie Brandl of the home; sons Buddy Brandl and wife Angel, and Kojak Brandl and wife Lori, both of Tribune, KS; grandchildren; Hannah, Mattie, Jaxson, Jailyn, and Haidyn all of Tribune, KS; brothers, Richard Brandl and wife Diane of Schuyler, NE, Raymond Brandl of Linwood, NE, Russell Brandl and wife Lisa of Omaha, NE, and Roland Brandl of Schuyler, NE; and two sisters, Sherril Mefford and husband Jack of Papillion, NE, and Sally Hahn and husband Ken of Norfolk, NE,

He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Roger Brandl, and two nieces.

Cremation has taken place.

Memorial Service will be held 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the United Methodist Church in Tribune, Kansas.

Memorial contributions can be made payable to Greeley County Schools Hudl account or sport shoes in care of Weeks Family Funeral Home & Crematory, PO Box 1200, Sublette, Ks 67877. Condolences may be left online at WeeksFamilyFuneralHome.com
